This policy explains what personal information Christian Fry Web Design (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects through this website, why I collect it, and what I do with it. This website is operated from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, and is subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

Contact form submissions

When you fill out the contact form on this website, I collect the following information that you choose to provide:

  • Your business or school name
  • Your current website URL (if you provide one)
  • Your project type and any details you include in your message

This information is collected only when you voluntarily submit the form. You are not required to provide all fields.

Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service operated by Google LLC. GA4 automatically collects certain technical and behavioural information about your visit, including:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • General geographic location (country and region level, derived from your IP address)
  • Device type, operating system, and browser
  • How you arrived at this website (e.g., search engine, direct visit, referral link)

2. Why I collect this information

Contact form data

I collect your contact form information for the sole purpose of responding to your inquiry and, if we decide to work together, carrying out the web design project you have requested. I will not use your contact information to add you to any mailing list, send you promotional communications, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Analytics data

I collect analytics data to understand how this website is being used, identify technical issues, and improve the content and structure of the site. This data is used only for internal analysis and is not used to identify, contact, or profile individual visitors.

3. How I store and protect your information

Contact form submissions are delivered to my business email inbox via Contact Form 7. I retain inquiry emails for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage our business relationship. If no project results from your inquiry, I will not retain your personal information indefinitely.

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

GA4 data is stored and processed by Google on Google’s infrastructure. I do not store raw GA4 data on my own servers.

4. Sharing of personal information

I do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. The only third-party service that receives data about visitors to this site is Google (through GA4), as described above. I do not share contact form submissions with any third parties.

5. Cookies

This website uses cookies placed by Google Analytics 4 for the analytics purposes described in Section 1. I do not use any other cookies for advertising, remarketing, or third-party tracking. If you prefer not to allow GA4 cookies, you can use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above, adjust your browser’s cookie settings, or use a browser with tracking protection enabled.

6. Your rights under PIPEDA

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information I hold about you
  • Request access to your personal information
  • Request that inaccurate information be corrected
  • Withdraw consent to the collection or use of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions
